That concludes our coverage of the Champions League for tonight.

After seven unsuccessful efforts, Arsenal has made it past the round of 16 once more. Their quarterfinal wait is now over.

Leandro Trossard’s first-half goal was the lone goal of the match, leaving the tie equal at 1-1 on aggregate after extra time. It was an extremely stressful evening at the Emirates.

The game-winning goal came from Galeno, who scored the incredible injury-time goal in the first leg. David Raya was the hero, stopping two spot kicks, including the last one.

Arsenal’s next assignment is to go to Manchester City, the Premier League leaders, to play the reigning champions.

I’m Kevin Hand, and I’ll see you later for complete coverage of that one. Until then, though, I’m saying farewell.

Bukayo Saka responded to Arsenal’s development and the upcoming match against Manchester City.
Saka said to TNT Sports, “We are leading the league and into the Champions League quarterfinal, which gives us a lot of belief that we can go to Manchester City and get a result.”

“We play these games in our dreams, and I’m excited for the upcoming round.

“I have a buzz.” I just like what we are going through. Although I didn’t give my best effort, I’m still proud of the squad.

Mikel Arteta, manager of Arsenal, discusses his team’s progress to the quarterfinals.
“I’m overjoyed. For a team like Arsenal, 14 years is a long period, as Arteta stated to TNT Sports.

We had to persevere, but I’m delighted and proud of us. We succeeded in generating a fantastic atmosphere in the stadium.

“You realize it’s a little bit of a lottery, but you hope for the best. We credit the coaches for our research, which we completed yesterday.

It was a struggle against them, and they are a pretty good team.

“We only got two or three chances in this competition, but we made it work.”

Arsenal had the advantage in the statistics.

The Gunners shared possession 58–42.

In addition, they had 13 shots, four of which were on target, compared to Porto’s 10 and 3, respectively.

Arsenal may now go on to the quarterfinals.

Arsenal has finally advanced to the quarterfinals after suffering seven straight losses in the round of 16.

The Gunners will line up in the quarterfinals for the first time since 2009–2010.

David Raya, the goalkeeper for Arsenal, comments on the victory.
For me to be in the Champions League for the first time and for the club to be in the quarterfinals for the first time in a long time is a fantastic experience, Raya told TNT Sports.

“We dominated the game, generated opportunities, and played well. We had a rough game against Porto, who pressed us hard and made things difficult for us.

Of all people, Galeno missed the game-winning kick.
The man who misses the kick that sends Arsenal throwing is the one who scores a miraculous goal to split the scores in injury time in the opening game.

With Galeno out, Arsenal advances to the quarterfinals.
